Good or bad?
I don't know. But I know this.
Taco bell taking over grocery stores without their nuclear orange cheese sauce and dubious sour cream, Bad.

I just wish some of the so called "hot" sauces from Taco bell actually were.. well.. HOT... Not that I live in the US, but my sister brought back some Lava sauce or something last year, it was.... MEH..

Yeah, they're not hot at all.

I'd say tabasco is hotter.. heh..

The medium, "Hot" packets actually have a good flavor, though.

Yeah it is.

I am fully in favor of all of this.

It is hot enough for most gringos like me. It isn't meant to melt the Nordic ice caps, lol. And I think that the FDA doesn't allow them to sell a sauce that can cause tongue burns or something.
Also, why aren't Taco Bells in Europe? I know other Yum brands have a global presence.

I won't deny that, it's just that when they call something "HOT" it better BE hot.. We have the same problem here in Norway though... there's a pizza chain who uses flaming chilis to show if a pizza is hot or not.. three flaming ones is what they call VERY hot... frankly it's almost as hot as tabasco :(

Don't leave home without your Melinda's XXX. Flavor and spice.

Seriously? the FDA actually decides stuff like that? Here in Norway the kebab shpos kan sell the hottest fucking shit ever made, as long as they tell the customer that it is indeed VERY HOT.
As for no Taco bell here.. well, I don't think it would work. We have so many independent shops that sell cheap food.

In May, maybe earlier in some areas.

Most of the sauces are forgettable. OK but nothing great.
This one isn't around anymore but I really liked the flavor:
Don't know why they got rid of it.

They don't call them Food and Drug Administration for nothing, last year, I think, after the FDA started a probe on Wrigley's new Alert gum, they stopped producing it and withdraw it from the market.
Bastards, that gum was great. It could've been the greatest thing in the gum industry since the introduction of 5.
And like I said, if other Yum brands like KFC and Pizza Hut made room on a market, Taco Bell can enter that market with relative ease, as it can get local know-how and expertise from its sister brands. Also, I doubt small vendors would stop Taco Bell, they have a lot more financial power, more variety and consumers are more willing to trust a big, multinational company, who cares about its image, than a random guy with a food cart.

Where I live we don't have KFC or Pizza Hut either :P But I'd actually LOVE to have Taco Bell here, if only they altered their food to our palate.

I assume this is a problem most everywhere except for Latin America and the Far East.

I guess so.

Trust me; you don't want taco bell. It's garbage low-quality food. There is a reason it's so cheap.
![]() 03/29/2014 at 18:08 |

I know that, but we can't get tacos ANYWHERE here other than at home or pricy restaurants.. Sometimes I CRAVE cheap tacos, but have to settle for some Fried noodles or a kebab/gyro..

I can understand why Italians hate Pizza Hut, but what's Norway's problem with it?
Also, I assume fish taco would the most popular item on the menu.

We have a huge amount of more than decent pizzerias in Norway, Pizza Hut would not stand a chance. And I can tell you right now, that fish tacos would FAIL FAIL FAIL.. hehe.

You should just open a place if that's the case! They are simple to make and I imagine all the spices should be available (or ship-able). The reason I make the comment about Taco Bell is that you can go to a Mexican village in any city and get high-quality fresh Mexican food for nearly the same cost as Taco Bell. And those places serve beer and tequila :)
![]() 03/29/2014 at 18:17 |

Yeah, but we don't have mexican villages in Norway, the biggest city in Norway have a population of 600k or something :) I live in a town with something like a population of like 30k or something, but perhaps I should try to start a "Mexican restaurant" :)

I meant any city in the USA sorry - yes you should! become the Norwegian King of Mexican Cuisine!

You know what, first thing on Monday I'll start talking to the people I need to talk with to make something like that happen. I can't imagine I'll make something like that happen, but it's worth a shot.

This! I quite like Pizza Hut, but they wouldn't stand a chance against Peppes or even Dolly Dimple's, not to mention the numerous local pizzerias that are way better than either.
![]() 03/29/2014 at 19:46 |
|
And Peppes and Dollys SUCK compared to most local shops.. so yeah :)
![]() 03/29/2014 at 19:49 |

Yeah, though the Kristiansand (town centre) Peppes is definitely above average for the franchise, at least in my experience. :>

I've never eaten Pizza in Kr.Sand. So I can't comment on that, but here in Hamar we have 4-5 places that are WAY better than Peppes, at half the price.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I HAVE had Pizza at Peppes in Kristiansand... 14 years ago or so... I think we ate there while waiting for Kicks to open or something... I dunno, I was drunk, I just remember a cute blonde girl giving me some food :P

Why and why?
The salsas, easily the weak part of any TB visit. No flavor, no spice. And Baja Blast is nowhere near as good as regular Mountain Dew...

I tried Baja Blast a few weeks ago and thought it was kind of meh, honestly.

Not me. I love the shit, but it may lose its charm if I don't have to risk gastrointestinal Armageddon to enjoy it.
